Last night two dutch children, 17600km away from the Sinterklaas‘ normal distribution area, where visited by his trusty friend, Zwarte Piet. All the way from Madrid in his steamboat, Piet was found lost in a small village on the east coast of New Zealand, looking for the two lost kids to give them their presents on ‘pakjesavond’. Fortunately Zwarte Piet was found, although his Dutch had a surprisingly German ring to it.
