Amazingly the Oxford Union invited and hosted David Irving (convicted holocaust denier) and Nick Griffin (extremist head of the right wing British National Party). The president of the organisation, a person called Luke Tryl, defends his simplistic views in this naive letter.

Giving these men a microphone will do nothing to promote free speech: it will just give them a platform and some sorely needed press.

And maybe the Oxford Union members should reassess their choice of elected representatives.
